Wilm's tumor 8 / 1,000,000 in the population under the age of 15, and is one of the childhood tumors. The average age of diagnosis is 3 years. The frequency of seeing less than 6 months and over 10 years of age is lower. Bilateral vision is in 4% to 13% of patients. In this presentation, we aimed to submit the excision of Wilm's tümörünün as laparoscopically .
A 3-year-old male patient with no known history of disease presented with a complaint of macroscopic hematuria for 2 days with difficulty in urinating. There was erythrocyte on uriner analyzis. Biochemical analyzis were normal. There was a solid mass with cystic components (size of 44 * 39.5mm). The mass was observed in the parapelvic and exophytic cortical location in the left kidney lower pole. In contrast abdominal tomography, a solid mass holding 33mm diameter heterogeneous contrast with exophytic extension was observed in the middle-lower pole of the left kidney. The radiology interpretation was compatible with Wilm's and was consulted with pediatric oncology. Laparoscopic mass excision was performed considering that the mass could be removed with the kidney. Sampling was done from the surrounding lymph nodes. Oral postoperative (PO) was started on the first day. PO 2 day chemotherapy (KT) was given to the patient who had spontaneous gas outflow on the 2nd day of PO. (Actinomycin D and Vincristin). After CT, the patient was discharged with good health.
It can be used in tumors where kidney-sparing surgery is possible, without extrarenal spread, without thrombus in the renal vein and vena cava, and without paravertebral ipsilateral connection.
